Where do we begin?

How do I decide whether this is right for me?

Contact me for a remote consultation. This will be a chance to discuss your reasons for pursuing therapy and work out an arrangement going forward. I work in an open-ended way, which means I will not determine how long we might need to see each other, but we will agree to the frequency of sessions. This costs £20 and tends to last 30 - 60 minutes.

How much does it cost?

My rate is £40 a session. A session lasts 50 minutes. I kindly request advance notice of any holidays you plan to take. If you need to cancel a session outside of 24 hours’ notice, I will offer you an alternative date if I am able. If you need to cancel within 24 hours, you will be invoiced for the missed session. I send invoices monthly, and accept cash and bank transfer.

Do you offer low-cost/concession rates?

Yes - I maintain a number of spaces for unwaged people/those on a low income. Please contact me to enquire, and I can reduce the consultation fee when offering you reduced rates.

How often should I have sessions?

Once or twice a week is a common frequency for psychotherapy, allowing for meaningful work to occur. Some consider psychoanalysis to need 3+ sessions weekly. It really depends on what you are willing and able to commit to. You are welcome to begin at one session weekly and review at a later date.

Where are you?

My practice is located in Southwark (South-East London), close to Canada Water Station. It is on the first floor and unfortunately there is no lift. I conduct remote sessions by phone and online on Doxy or Zoom.

Confidentiality

I treat all personal information you share with me in sessions as confidential. I will only release patient information to a third party in the event of a court order. I keep personal data secure to the best of my ability for no more than three years, in compliance with UK GDPR. You have the right to specify the means by which I communicate scheduling information with you.
