I am a psychotherapist and psychoanalyst-in-training with the Site for Contemporary Analysis, where I am also a trainee council member. I am a member of the UKCP and abide by its code of ethics. I work in private practice and on a voluntary basis with free clinics.
I graduated with a degree in Philosophy & Literature, where I developed an interest in psychoanalysis. My practice is rooted in classical psychoanalysis but I am not confined to one theoretical school. In this way you could say my practice is integrative (Freud, Lacan, Ferenczi, but also Laing and some existentialist psychotherapy). Ultimately my approach is informed by the idiosyncrasies of each person I see. My thinking is also informed by feminist and queer theory, a wealth of which has assisted psychoanalysts in treating patients in ever-evolving social contexts.
Prior to my clinical training, I worked as a volunteer with The Listening Place, providing space for suicidal people and people in crisis to be heard. I have also worked in community-led programs and with advocacy groups, supporting the needs of sex workers and migrants.
